I also use it when I have to work with another person's Yamaha 01V, 02R, DM1000 etc. I use of SM as a back up to my saved settings on the console. So now any changes made in Studio Manager will be mirrored exactly on the Yamaha. Dragging a fader up on your computer will do the same on the Console - and vice versa. Here you need to again select Yamaha USB in 0-1 as the input and output port. Having done that you should open the 01v96 editor, and again under the file menu go to System Setup. In the meantime i put windows 32 bit on my computer and have been using the mixer with cubase perfectly, the device works fine on 32 bit so until they fix it this is your best option.As you know, Studio Manager is a stand alone program on your PC only and you first need to install all the correct drivers to complete the Studio Manager installation. It is a problem and they are aware of it and are fixing it and have been doing so for a number of months so i guess its a case of just waiting for the updates guys… very annoying. I then managed to speak to a tech guy at yamaha who was very helpfull, they tested it on 32 bit windows and it worked fine then they tested it on 64 bit windows and it the same problem as me. I spoke to cubase who said everything works fine, which was not correct! i did however speak to yamaha on the phone and they were very help full. I have this mixer and upgraded to windows 7 64bit and thought it was me doing something wrong, i didnt have many people to speak to as not many people have this mixer and set up which was annoying.
